Lebanon, Mo. – Heritage Bank of the Ozarks continues to lead in deposit market share in Lebanon and across the six-county footprint of Dallas, Laclede, Pulaski, Texas, Webster, and Wright counties. According to the FDIC Summary of Deposits report dated June 30, 2026, Heritage Bank holds the largest deposit share with $295.98 million in deposits and a 7.63% market share, ranking first among 33 financial institutions operating in the market.
"We are honored that customers throughout our communities continue to place their trust in us. Our market leadership reflects the strength of those relationships and our commitment to serving our Neighbors for the long term,” said Lance Boyer, President, Heritage Bank of the Ozarks.
"This recognition is a testament to our customers, employees, and communities. We remain focused on providing personalized financial solutions while staying true to our community-banking roots."
Heritage Bank achieved this milestone while operating only two offices within the six-county market analyzed in the report, reflecting strong customer relationships and community trust.
Bank-wide, the institution entered 2025 with about $361 million in assets and grew market share by nearly $63 million at the start of 2026, with assets reaching $424 million. In Lebanon, the bank grew by over $30.5 million year over year and has more than doubled its local deposit market share from 12.7% to 27.8% over the past decade.
These numbers tell the story that community banks remain competitive, and customers continue choosing local institutions despite regional and national competitors.
Heritage Bank attributes success to the continued importance of local decision-making. “Other banks see customers. We see Neighbors. We strive to be the best home-owned, home-operated bank, where excellent banking meets friendly, local service,” said Boyer.
In 2003, a group of locals wanted to build a bank for Lebanon and Laclede County. Together, they succeeded, and today Heritage Bank has grown far beyond that original goal.
